Lakes Sonoma and Mendocino in Good Shape

The North Bay’s water situation is in much better shape than it was at this time last year. The combined storage level of Lake Sonoma and Lake Mendocino is at its highest ever for this time of year. The amount of water at the end of August hadn’t been this high since 1985, when Lake Sonoma had just been built and filled. Last December 9th, the reservoir reached its lowest level in history, with about 96-thousand-acre-feet of water. Now, Lake Sonoma has nearly 240-thousand-acre-feet of water.
