The murder trial of a man accused of killing a man at the Palms Inn in Santa Rosa will move forward. Judge Robert LaForge has ruled that there is enough evidence to bring Skylar Rasmussen to trial for the murder of William Woodard last December. Rasmussen’s attorney is arguing that his client killed Woodard in self defense. Rasmussen had taken fentanyl at the time and went to Woodard’s room for naloxone when Woodard allegedly tried to sexually assault him. This all occurred at the Palms Inn which has been converted into a permanent supportive housing site.
