K-9 Deputy and items confiscated from Enrique Sanchez-Arias (Sonoma Sheriff)

A deputy K-9 helps find over 23 pounds of meth inside a vehicle. Last Wednesday morning, a deputy and his four-legged partner pulled over a vehicle near Stage Gulch Road and Watmaugh Road. After seeing several suspicious things about the vehicle, the K-9 officer sniffed around the outside and alerted the deputy to the presence of drugs. Inside they found the meth valuing over $200-thousand. Detectives later searched the driver’s home in Vacaville and found over two pounds of fentanyl, a half pound of meth, 1,500 fentanyl-laced counterfeit oxycodone pills, three loaded firearms — one of which was identified as stolen — and ammunition. The driver, Enrique Sanchez-Arias, was arrested with bail set at $250-thousand.
