A Napa County man fought off an attacker using the very same knife he was stabbed with. On Saturday morning on private property north of the city of Napa, a 61-year-old homeowner went to check out his utility box after his home lost power. He found a Long Beach man, later identified as Andrew Kenneth Dixon, on his property. Dixon stabbed the homeowner in the back during a confrontation but then the homeowner took the knife out and stabbed Dixon. He was able to detain Dixon until deputies arrived. Neither man’s injuries were considered life threatening. Dixon is being charged with attempted murder, elder abuse and assault with a deadly weapon.
