A chain of crisis pregnancy centers with a location in Santa Rosa is being sued by the state. On Thursday, California Attorney General Rob Bonta filed the lawsuit, which names Bridges Pregnancy Clinic and Care Center. It says the chain and a national anti-abortion group are violating California false advertising law in promoting an unproven procedure called “abortion pill reversal.” It involves taking a high dose of the hormone progesterone after a patient has ingested abortion-inducing medication. It is considered unethical by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Crisis pregnancy centers are often faith-based and are known for trying to convince women not to have abortions.
