Handgun confiscated from Anthony Hernandez and juvenile passenger (Santa Rosa Police)
Two gang members were arrested in Santa Rosa after being found in possession of a handgun. On Saturday evening, an officer pulled over 18-year-old Anthony Hernandez in the area of Sunset Avenue and McMinn Avenue to make sure he was complying with his pretrial release. Officers searched the vehicle and found a 40 caliber handgun under the passenger seat. Hernandez and his 16-year-old passenger were arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, as well as gang participation and enhancement. Hernandez was previously arrested in August after leading Santa Rosa police on a high speed chase where another firearm was found in his vehicle.
