Residents of Santa Rosa’s northwest hillside are getting their first look at plans to transform the site of the old Sonoma County hospital on Chanate Road into housing. A neighborhood meeting about the redevelopment plans was held Monday. Property owner Eddie Haddad wants to build up to 878 homes on the 71-acre site. The land has been mostly vacant for almost a decade. Haddad is getting ready to submit redevelopment plans for the property for environmental review.
