Kaiser Employees on Strike, Including Many in Sonoma County

Kaiser Permanente employees in Sonoma County are walking off the job today. The three-day strike involve more than 75-thousand Kaiser employees nationwide, about 18-hundred of which are in Sonoma County. The largest healthcare workers’ strike in U.S. history began at six a.m. Wednesday morning. It involves nurses, ER techs, respiratory therapists, dietary workers, home health aides, and more. The employees have been without a contract since Saturday. Labor negotiations, which started a few months ago, were expected to continue into the night.
