Graphic welcoming Jim Naugle to Novato (Novato Police)
Assistant Sonoma County Sheriff Jim Naugle is getting a new job. Naugle has been picked to be the next chief of the Novato Police Department. Chief Naugle actually started his law enforcement career in Novato in 1998 where he worked patrol and was a Defensive Tactics instructor, DARE instructor, and Special Response Team member. He joined the Sonoma County Sheriff’s office in 2001. Naugle, who from Petaluma, was promoted to assistant sheriff in 2019. He starts his new job in Novato on Monday, October 23rd.
