A section of Santa Rosa’s Joe Rodota Trail is closing this weekend. Caltrans will be clearing a homeless encampment with about 50 to 60 people. A two-block section of the trail, from Dutton Avenue to the Highway 12 overpass, will close Sunday at five p.m. It is expected to reopen on October 21st at the latest. Santa Rosa and Sonoma County officials requested Caltrans clear the encampment.
