Prescribed Burn Scheduled for Friday Around Forestville

An 11-acre prescribed burn is set for tomorrow in the Forestville area. The burn will happen within Audubon Canyon Ranch on forested private property. It is meant to reduce hazardous fuels near residences and infrastructure, increase wildfire safety, and improve woodland health for diverse plant and animal habitat. The burn will also serve as valuable training for firefighters. This controlled burn is subject to change depending on conditions. It’s expected to start at 9 AM tomorrow and finish in the afternoon.
