Parts of Sonoma County will be able to burn again with a permit starting next week. Cal Fire Unit Chief Mike Marcucci is lifting the burn permit suspension beginning Monday in the State Responsibility Areas of Sonoma, Colusa, Lake, Solano, and Yolo counties. Napa County’s burn permit suspension will be lifted on November 6th. Agriculture burns must be inspected by Cal Fire prior to burning until the end of the peak fire season. Inspections may be required for burns other than agriculture burns. You can get verified by contacting your local Air Quality Management District. You must also contact the district to make sure it is a permissive burn day.
