Two people were killed in a plane crash near Covelo. On Friday evening, a plane crashed down on vegetation near the 21000 block of Airport Road sparking a fire. The flames were put out and rescue crews found two bodies on site. They remain unidentified at this time due to the conditions of their bodies. The NTSB is investigating the crash while the Mendocino County Coroner’s office is working to identify the two deceased individuals.
