Mendocino County Deputies are investigating the discovery of human remains near Covelo. On Saturday evening, a man hunting on his property on the 45000 block of Bauer Ranch Road found several suspected human bones. He also found state photo IDs belonging to an adult male in the area around the bones. Due to a rainstorm, deputies could not get to the property until yesterday. When they did, they managed to recover several human skeletal remains. They are still determining whose remains they are and what the cause of death was.
