The suspect accused of shooting a 74-year-old man to death in a house in Monte Rio has been charged with murder and cruelty on a dependent adult. Forty-one-year-old Joseph Douchette, who was charged Tuesday, is being held without bail. He is accused of shooting the victim, 74-year-old Chris Jaffe, on Sunday afternoon, and was arrested nearby a short time later. The relationship between the two men is not clear.
