The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors is banning the sale of e-cigarettes and flavored tobacco products in unincorporated areas of the county. The measure goes into effect on December 7th. It will affect 79 licensed tobacco retailers, which represent nearly a quarter of all tobacco retailers in Sonoma County. The Board says it is trying to keep tobacco products out of the hands of local kids, in light of recent data that shows kids are using them more. Petaluma, Sebastopol and Windsor have already banned the sale of e-cigarettes and flavored tobacco products.
