Sonoma County Limits Rent Hikes for Mobile Home Parks

Sonoma County is limiting rent hikes at mobile home parks in unincorporated parts of the county. On Tuesday, the County Board of Supervisors voted to bring rent control in unincorporated areas in line with neighboring jurisdictions. Rent hikes will be limited to 70-percent of the Consumer Price Index, or four-percent of the rent, whichever is less. Santa Rosa and Petaluma’s new ordinances set the same limits. This is the first update to Sonoma County’s 1992 mobile home ordinance in 25 years. It will apply to the 67 mobile home parks in the unincorporated parts of the county.
