Wine produced in Sonoma County was served at Wednesday night’s White House state dinner honoring Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. Three wines were poured, including WindRacer Wines’ 2019 Alexander Mountain Chardonnay. The winery was founded by Barbara Banke and Peggy Furth. The other two wines came from Columbia Valley, Washington and Oregon’s Willamette Valley. WindRacer’s small-batch chardonnay and pinot noir are crafted from locally grown grapes.
