Santa Rosa Man Found with 73 Pounds of Meth Sentenced to 18-Year Prison Sentence

A Santa Rosa man has been sentenced to 18-years in prison for weapon and drug offenses related to a October 2022 bust. Jose Vega Sanchez received his sentence last Friday. Despite his sentence, Sanchez will be eligible for parole in three years due to Prop 57 as a nonviolent offender. He was arrested in October of 2022 after police found 73 pounds of meth in his Santa Rosa home. That’s about 165,000 individual doses with a street value of $150,000. A handgun was also found during the search.
