A landmark building in Santa Rosa is being restored to its normal color. Over the weekend, construction workers sandblasted most of the white paint off of the Stonehouse structure at 540 Middle Rincon Road. Paul Thomspon, who owns the building, told the Press Democrat they did it to appease residents saying “We want everyone to be happy.” This came after Thompson had Stonehouse painted white earlier this month to much backlash from neighbors. Painters were harassed and one even had a rock thrown at them. Stonehouse was built in 1909 by Massimo Galeazzi, a stone mason who immigrated from Tuscany.
