A shelter in place order has been lifted in Hopland after a man with a large knife was spotted behind a local business. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office gave the order just after 4 PM yesterday after the armed man was spotted behind Country Porch Antiques. The order was lifted after 10 PM but the suspect was not found. He’s described as a male adult, 6 feet tall, 195 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes, and last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. in addition to the knife, he was also carrying an unknown object. Anyone who spots him or has any information should call law enforcement.
