An alleged drug runner has been arrested in Santa Rosa. Back in July, police began an investigation into a drug trafficking organization. They identified 37-year-old Antonio Ibarra-Mendoza as a “runner,” someone who strictly makes deliveries of drugs and picks up money. Drug bosses use “runners” to lessen the chance of them being implicated in narcotic distribution. Yesterday, police searched a property on the 3500 block of Moorland Avenue and found about one pound of meth packaged for sale. Mendoza was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale and a felony arrest warrant for drug sales from 2014.
