The operators of Petaluma’s Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds and Event Center are looking for a new CEO. The 4th District Agricultural Association or 4th DAA made the announcement last week adding that current CEO, Tawny Tesconi, will stick around until a new one is hired. Tesconi came out of retirement last year to head the group and expects a new hire by March of 2024. This comes as the city of Petaluma is taking over operations from the 4th DAA by the end of the year. The group has operated the Petaluma Fairgrounds for 50 years under a long-term lease with the city. A renewal of the agreement was declined by the city last year.
