Woman Arrested for Embezzling Over $150-Thousand from Santa Rosa Employer

A woman has been arrested for embezzling over $150-thousand from her Santa Rosa employer. A landscape design and construction company recently hired a new bookkeeper who noticed irregularities in the company’s financial records. They determined there were a lot of unauthorized credit card transactions and contacted police. After several months of investigating, detectives charged 48-year-old Jennifer Sutton of Petaluma for embezzlement and aggravated white collar crime enhancement. They determined that over a five-year period, Sutton used the credit card for cash advances and non-business-related purchases with Amazon, Google, DoorDash. She also used it to pay personal utilities such as water, electricity, and cable or internet services.
