Healdsburg Mayor Ariel Kelley is planning to run for the state assembly seat currently held by Jim Wood. Kelley says she filed nomination papers on Monday and will publicly announce her candidacy this morning. Late last week, Assemblyman Wood, who represents the second district, announced he will not run for reelection. Kelley says she has had her eyes on running for statewide office for quite some time.
