Millions of Californians are just hours away from knowing if their gas and power bills are going up. State regulators are expected to vote today on PG&E’s request to hike prices. If they approve it, customers will pay somewhere between 25-and-31 dollars more a month, starting in January. The utility serves about 16-million people and says the money is needed to cover the cost of new underground power lines in areas at highest risk of a wildfire.
