Former Superintendent for Marin and Sonoma County District Found Guilty of Misconduct with a Child

A former superintendent in Marin and Sonoma Counties has been convicted of misconduct with a child. Sixty-nine-year-old Robert Patrick Raines was convicted by a jury for the misdemeanor crime of annoying or molesting a child. He will be sentenced on December 13th and could get a year in jail and a $5,000 fine. Raines was arrested in June 2021 while still superintendent at the Shoreline Unified School District. A district employee claimed that Raines had inappropriately touched her child who she had brought in to work during the pandemic.
