The Lake County Sheriff’s Department has released new details about a deadly deputy-involved shooting in Lakeport. Deputies responded to a report of an assault suspect armed with a knife last Thursday. They found the man holding a gun instead. He was shot despite several attempts by deputies to de-escalate the situation.
