The suspect and victim in a deadly stabbing on the campus of Montgomery High School did not exchange text messages in the weeks leading up to their fight. That’s according to the lead detective on the case, who testified in the 16-year-old suspect’s voluntary manslaughter trial on Monday. The detective reviewed several weeks worth of text messages from both boys’ phones. The messages were from before the stabbing on March 1st. The trial is now in the rebuttal phase. The suspect has not testified on his own behalf.
