Santa Rosa City Councilman Chris Rogers is running for the state assembly seat currently held by Jim Wood. The 36-year-old , a Democrat, filed nomination papers last week and formally launched his campaign on Monday. Rogers has been a Santa Rosa city councilman since 2016. In 2020, he became the city’s youngest mayor. Earlier this month, Assemblyman Wood announced he would not run for a final term in office.
