A Santa Rosa Junior College professor is behind bars after a gun was allegedly found in his briefcase. Seventy-four-year-old Michael Beyries was arrested on campus on Monday morning. Last week, at least two students reportedly told campus police they saw the professor with a semiautomatic pistol. Beyries is an adjunct professor in the school’s communications department. Santa Rosa Junior College says he will not be allowed on campus for at least two weeks.
