Montgomery High School Stabbing Case Moves to Closing Arguments

Closing arguments in the Montgomery High School stabbing trial are underway. On Tuesday, a Sonoma County prosecutor said a now 16-year-old boy, charged with voluntary manslaughter, was not justified in killing a 16-year-old junior on March 1st. Deputy District Attorney Jason Riehl says the boy wasn’t worried about getting injured despite suffering a concussion a few weeks earlier. He also says the boy was unfazed when a friend warned of an attack, adding that the classroom fight did not need to end with the other boy being stabbed five times. The suspect’s attorney, who claims the stabbing was an act of self-defense, will make his closing argument Wednesday morning.
