Caltrans will begin clearing a homeless encampment near the Joe Rodota Trail today. Work is expected to start at eight o’clock this morning. About 75 people live on the land under Highway 12 and just west of Highway 101 in Santa Rosa. The encampment sweep had been on hold after seven people who live there filed for an injunction. The injunction was lifted by a federal judge last month. The land the encampment sits on is owned by the state, while the Joe Rodota Trail is owned by Sonoma County.
