Napa County could be taking nearly an acre and a half of land from Sonoma County. And, Sonoma County would get just two-hundredths of an acre of land in return. It’s all to correct a unique issue where the county line cuts through a winery. In September, the owner of Paloma Vineyard petitioned the Napa County Board of Supervisors to transfer the land. The owner’s family has been paying property taxes to Napa County since it got the land in 1983. But, a civil engineer says several acres of the 17-acre property are actually in Sonoma County.
