Sonoma County is starting December with lower gas prices. The average price of a gallon of regular gas fell below five dollars this week and it’s down again today. It’s now $4.97 after dropping by a penny overnight. That’s 12 cents less than a week ago and 38 cents less than a month ago. One year ago today, it was also $4.97 a gallon. The state average is a bit lower at $4.83. The cheapest gas in Sonoma County is at the Costco in Rohnert Park where a gallon of unleaded is $4.49.
