Ukiah Woman Arrested for Attempted Murder After Attack with Box Cutter

A Ukiah woman has been arrested for attempted murder with a box cutter. Early Tuesday morning, a 56-year-old woman staying with 51-year-old Remelee Guerrero Laxa was attacked by Laxa while she was sleeping. She managed to get away and called police from about a block away from the residence on North State Street in Ukiah. She had serious injuries. Deputies responded and arrested Laxa at her residence. They also found additional evidence there of the assault.
