The California Highway Patrol is launching its annual “Maximum Enforcement Period.” The agency will deploy all available officers during the Christmas holiday weekend to catch intoxicated drivers, speeders, and those who break other laws of the road. The enforcement period begins Friday night and ends Monday night. Another CHP maximum enforcement period will happen during New Year’s weekend.
