Santa Rosa School Board Approves Waivers for Some Graduates

The Santa Rosa City Schools Board has approved waivers that may make it easier for some high school students to graduate next year. After Wednesday night’s unanimous board vote, students with those waivers will not need to meet A-through-G requirements in order to graduate. The requirements, adopted by the district in 2018, say high schoolers have to meet college entrance requirements to get their diplomas. But, since then, graduation rates at most high schools have actually fallen.
