Yard Signs Belonging to Sonoma Group “Stop Pacaso” Stolen

Signs opposing a local short-term rental company were taken from properties in Sonoma. The Press Democrat reports that yard signs from the group Stop Pacaso were taken last Friday evening from properties on Old Winery Road with the group claiming it to be an attempt to stop their message and infringe on their first amendment rights. Their signs had been up since May of 2021 when Pacaso bought a property on Old Winery Court. That home is the lone known home of Pacaso’s in Sonoma. The company has been the target of critics complaining about the expansion of the short-term rental market and buyers coming from outside of the North Bay. Pacaso uses a “fractional ownership” business model, a practice that provides customers one-eighth ownership of homes.
