Driver in Santa Rosa Arrested for DUI and Possession of Concealed Handgun

A driver has been arrested in Santa Rosa for DUI and carrying a concealed handgun. On Thursday, two officers patrolling Mendocino Avenue near Fourth Street saw a vehicle drive in an unsafe manner and commit several code violations. They saw the vehicle parked nearby and confronted the driver and lone occupant, Ramses De Jesus Navarette. Officers saw Navarette display signs of intoxication and put him through field sobriety tests before arresting him for DUI. They then found a concealed unloaded Glock handgun that was in his jacket that he had removed before exiting the vehicle. Navarette was then charged with possession of a concealed firearm as well.
