Sonoma has a new mayor. Outgoing Mayor Sandra Lowe passed the mayoral gavel to Vice Mayor John Gurney last Wednesday. Gurney was elected to the Sonoma City Council last year and previously served as the Sonoma Police Chief. Meanwhile, Patricia Farrar-Rivas was appointed as Vice-Mayor.
