A Santa Rosa woman has been sentenced for the fatal hit-and-run of a Cloverdale teen. Allisa Whitten received a three year and three month prison sentence for crimes related to the death of Oswaldo Cardenas Jr. Whitten pleaded no contest in November to a felony charge of hit-and-run causing injury and three misdemeanor counts of vehicular manslaughter, destroying evidence and driving without a license. Whitten hit Cardenas on August 27th of last year as he and two friends walked along River Road, west of Rio Vista Road. Whitten fled the scene after apologizing to Cardenas’ friends and claims she gave the SUV to an ex-boyfriend. Police found the SUV engulfed in flames on August 30th and arrested Whitten a couple of days later.
