Santa Rosa police have recovered a handgun from a convicted felon. On Saturday night, officers saw two people loitering on Sunset Avenue near the intersection of West Avenue. Officers searched the suspects and found a loaded, concealed, Glock handgun in the possession of 22-year-old Jose Rubio. Rubio is a convicted felon and prohibited from having a firearm or ammo. He was arrested on weapons charges. The other person was a juvenile and was taken to his home and was not charged with any crime.
