Southern California Still Getting Battered by Storms

While Northern California is past the strongest part of this current storm, Southern California is getting slammed and more than 14-million people in the southern part of the state are bracing for a soaking today. Some areas could get four to eight inches of rain, raising the risk of catastrophic flooding. People in Los Angeles have been told to stay home. That’s one of eight counties declared an emergency. The others include Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Diego and San Luis Obispo counties. The order puts the National Guard on standby to help with faster recovery efforts if needed.
