Flooding threats are starting to dissipate in communities along the Russian River in the North Bay. That’s thanks to a break in the rainfall on Monday night. The lower Russian River in Guerneville crested at 28.8 feet just after 2 o’clock this morning, below the flood stage of 32 feet. Elsewhere, the river reached its minor flood stage in the Geyserville area on Monday. And, Highway 175 in Hopland remains closed due to flooding.
