The power outage situation in Sonoma County is improving. Yesterday morning, around 20,000 customers were still without power. While Sonoma County still has the most outages in the state, this morning that number is now down to under 6,000. Most are still in West County, but there are still considerable outages along the Sonoma-Napa County Line.

PG&E has released updated damage numbers for its equipment in Northern and Central California. Extreme winds from Sunday’s bomb cyclone have damaged more than two-thousand strands of powerlines, 357 cross arms at the top of power poles, and 247 transformers. And, about 730 power poles broke or toppled, as of Wednesday night’s update. The totals are from surveys taken in PG&E’s Northern and Central California service area. In Sonoma County, seven roads remain closed due to fallen trees and other issues.
