Sonoma County’s last remaining commercial apple processing plant is closing and moving to Washington state. Manzana Apple Products announced the move on Tuesday, saying it is relocating its entire operation to the Yakima Valley by next year. The company brings most of its apples in from Washington state, and says the cost of transportation is getting too high. Manzana Apple Products makes apple sauce, apple cider, and apple cider vinegar.
