Santa Rosa police recover a loaded handgun during a traffic stop. On Saturday night, police saw a car driving recklessly and pulled it over in front of the main lobby of the new SRJC Student Housing complex on Armory Drive. Police searched the vehicle and found a loaded pistol on the passenger floorboard. As they found it, the passenger fled the scene on foot but was arrested after a short chase. Ivan Escamilla-Castillo was arrested and charged with several firearm related charges as well as resisting arrest.
