The Sebastopol City Council reversed course and decided not to discuss a resolution calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war. The council pulled the item from Tuesday’s meeting agenda, citing safety concerns. There were also concerns that the large number of people who wanted to speak on the matter would overwhelm the council’s meeting hall. That included several people believed to be from outside of Sebastopol. On Tuesday, the United States for the third time vetoed a United Nations Resolution calling for an immediate cease fire in Gaza.
