Woman Dies from Smoke Inhalation Eight Days After Santa Rosa House Fire

A 55-year-old woman has died in the hospital from smoke inhalation suffered in a Santa Rosa house fire. Laurie “Goody” Kennedy died on February 18th, eight days after her home on Aston Avenue caught fire. The fire also sent her daughter and son-in-law to the hospital and killed two of their three cats. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Meanwhile, the family is struggling to afford the funeral, bills and other expenses incurred from the fire. Kennedy’s niece has started a GoFundMe page to raise money for the family.
